Hi Everybody,

Fructose component of sugar is found in fruits. Generally doctors and dieticians are of the opinion that fructose is not harmful like refined sugar that we consume.

What is important is the total amount of fats and sugars we consume. Some sugars and fats are not as harmful as others. But overall, all are harmful. What is to be avoided are saturated fats, trans fatty acids, emulsifiers and sucrose. They are deadly.

Candies, sweets and soft drinks are loaded with them. This is what is to be avoided. Anything white is harmful. Sugar, white bread, milk and milk products, hydrogenated oil (Dalda) machine ground wheat flour unless ground by the cold process, maida (basic ingredient of Pizza, Nan and Kulcha), cakes, biscuits and chocolates. All of them are loaded with harmful products like sugar, saturated fats, trans fatty acids and emulsifiers. That is why "Gur" is better than sugar, Ghee is better than Dalda. Fried foods not only are loaded with fats but the process of deep frying also produces trans fatty acids which are absorbed by the "Pakoras, Burgers and Samosa". Colas are not only loaded with sugars and emulsifiers but are highly acidic. (pH 2.5 against water's pH of 7.0) They are best for cleaning toilets and rusted metal components.
