Guest guest
Desi cow is the home of 33 crore gods, out of billion gods in India. since such cows are not available to americans, all that is written on net (including notmilk.com) applies to foreign cows. They should be called milk machines not cows really. fodder, antibiotics, oxytocin in and milk out. Unfortunately the time of Lord Krishna is over. Indian farmers also selling away indian cows and adopting high yield jersey cow. She needs fan, a.c. and comforts, while desi cow will go to fields and eat whatever is available. by drinking her milk, we also start needing fan, a.c. and TV. But the author of this mail appreciates all the propoganda against milk going on, as that will reduce foreign breed cows. desi cow you may now find only in Goushalas, snatched away from being sold to slaughter houses. Even if desi cow not yielding milk, her urine and dung go in making medicines and manure. Maharashtra slowly becoming chemical fertiliser free state by adopting organic manure. You may get lot of info on panchgavya medicines on net. at ayurveda group too. and how to recognise desi cow? you can count her bones when you see her. but regionwise her pictures appear at love4cow.com The hump is the mark by which you can recognise her. , Puneet <puneet.nospam wrote: > According to him Panch-Gavya can cure all the diseases. Guest guest
Greetings Just as the farmers have started realising that organic fertilizers can give as much yield (if not better), another myth that needs to be broken is about the milk yield of the Desi Cow or Gau. According to Nanaji Deshmukh (http://www.chitrakoot.org/ndeshmukh.htm) Gau can yield as much milk as a Jersy Cow. The problem is that the farmers (influenced by the propaganda) never feed the Gau with much nutritious food. Ever wonder why all the Desi Gaus that we get to see are so weak (with their bones and horns coming out so prominently). A friend told me that Nanaji Deshmukh claims that if a farmer leaves Desi Gau with him. The same Gau can be taken back after 3 months and it will then be yielding as much milk as a Jersy cow does. And it will not need air conditioners -- only nutritious food and care/love. I would also like to relate an 'accidental' experiment that took place in the holy land of Kurukshetra. There lives a Swamiji who also runs a goshala. Gaus in the goshala get a regular daily bath in addition to other care. Earlier, the water used for the bath used to be drained in the municipality drains. As it used to be a lot of water, the municipality asked the Swamiji to make alternate arrangements for water drainage. Unable to think of any alternatives, the Swamiji reluctantly drained all the water in the fields that the Ashram owns -- where only organic farming is practiced. Lo and behold the water acted as a natural insecticide. Ever wonder how the cow survives with such little fur and only a small tail to take care of the insects.
