Ref. newsitem "Pune Youth want 2nd Term for Kalam" in today's edition

and your inviting opinion through mirrorfeedback or sms 8888 with yes or no.

 

I say NO to second term to Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam for, inter alia,

following reasons:-

 

1.. As a missile man he is always in the sky, not on terra firma !!!

What are the spectacular things that he has achieved in last five years?

He has not even kept his promise of replying to the emails personally.

In last five years, I have met him at Rashtrapati bhavan once and written

to him atleast one letter a fortnight through email, on important issues.

Only one he acknowledged personally (My Revised Oath for Doctors).

But no follow up on that too. 40 million children are suffering of Autism

due to mercury-laced vaccinations, but inspite of sending him several

petitions this scientist has kept mum !!! (Because he has no children?)

 

2.. He is above 70 and I believe there should be retirment age in politics

too (not more than 70). I have gone on record on this issue when I made

a bid in the Presidential and Vice Presidential elections last time.

 

3.. India is young, but old leaders have ruined progress because of

their rusty vision.

 

4.. Kalam is a nice man, secular, vegetarian (like me), but he too is a captive

President. Captive people cannot liberate fellowmen from bondage.

Also he is not a statesman, but a (politician) scientist.

 

5.. I feel that I am several notches better than him, and I can

prove that if he and I are put on a live discussion by you or anyone else.

There may be someone better than me. When we support the same

man for the second term, we deny opportunity to talent and merit.

Nation should not be run as a Private Limited Company.

 

6.. Infact, I will soon be filing a comprehensive WP in the SC for full Constitutional

Bench hearing, because I found that we are making mockery of Presidential and

Vice Presidential elections. It is a status quo ante deluvian and not merit

that counts in every political and official appointment. Sabh Gol Mal Hai

Bhai Sabh Gol Mal Hai. By the time common folks realise it, ions

have passed and history repeats itself instead of human kind progressing.

 

As you would note, I am marking a copy of this important feedback to

Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, because I believe in fairness and creating a level playing

field. He should devote his remainder life to teaching instead of seeking a second

term.
