Hello Jagannath, There is a whole body of research, which the mainstream media deliberately ignores, which says that vaccines in general are not only useless but positively harmful. And that the dramatic results attrubuted to vaccines are usually due to other causes. E.g. the drop in smallpox was due to better sanitation, less polluted water and food etc. not due to the smallpox vaccine. Specifically for POLIO, I was stunned to find the very convincing website of Jim West that has a lot of evidence to show that polio, a CNS (Central Nervous System) disease, is caused by exposure to pesticides, since pesticides damage the CNS. DDT (now banned) is shown to be the main cause, though I'm sure the many powerful pesticides used now could be as bad or worse than DDT - which by the way, some western health officials are trying to bring back in

Africa, . http://www.geocities.com/harpub/ Is Jim West's fascinating website For a single article summary by West see http://www.westonaprice.org/envtoxins/pesticides_polio.html Let me caution you that I've been accused by my friends of being excessively hospitable to dissident theories. The alarming rise in polio, in addition to the factors mentioned in the TOI article, is also due, I think, due to increasing amounts of pesticides getting into drinking water. Best
