This is the contents of a thread on the subject in another group: -------------------- From what I understand about homeopathy, it is good when old physical symptoms return. My autistic son who is receiving classical homeopathic care is experiencing old behaviors that are hard to watch and appear to be regressive. My question to those of you in the know is ~ is this a good sign or something to worry about? I have already emailed his Homeopath with the same the question. I need to get some feed-back asap as I am worried about him.Anita-- I am not a homeopath, but from what I remember from Sheri’s class,

thingswill “come out” in the order that they “went in”. So this sounds right. The first thing that manifested will be the last thing that manifestsitself. It must be worrisome, but from what I know of homeopathy, it sounds like heis getting better even though it seems like he is getting worse.I am sure some of the more knowledgeable people on this list will have moreto add, but I just wanted to respond as I hadn’t seen any other responses.C--------------------From what I understand about homeopathy, it is good when old physicalsymptoms return. I was unclear on the emotional/behaviora l piece also going in reverse. I haven't taken any classes only read a bit here and there (mostly on this group) so it's nice to hear this from you. Haven't heard from his H yet either. I'll let you know what she says.Anita --------- Hi Anita,The return of symptoms as the "layers" are addressed should not be as bad as they were when originally experienced, nor should they last as long. It is not unusual for this to occur, but it shouldn't be

severe.HTHKay---- Kay & C,Oddly enough, Henry's Homeopath didn't discuss the "layers" at all. I'm embarrased to say that recently I caved and put him on a run of antibiotics to combat an infection in his mouth; I was scared and fell to my fears. She was suportive of my choice, but said that antibiotics can cause regression. We did agree on reducing the 10 day run to 6 1/2 days instead. She said if the abx are going to do any good at all, it will happen within the first few days and it did. I hope I didn't screww the poor kid up too badly. :~(I will say the behaviors are not worse than they first were, but the jerky body and head movements are back as are the "tracking" of his eyes as well as rolling them up a lot and snapping his head to the side. He is under a lot of pressure being a Kindergartaner in a new school with a

new bus driver and matron. He was in the same pre-school for 3 1/2 years and blessed to have the same bus driver and matron throughout. It's an exremely hard transition which is provoking some violent behaviors too. She suggested I increase his remedy to daily doses until I see an improvement and then wait and see how he holds. Thanks for responding and wish us the best.Appreciatively,Anita-------------------------- One of the principle philosophies of homoeopathy is the Law of Cure, established by Constantine Hering. It states that healing will occur* from centre to circumference (from the centre of the body - which youcould interpret as the deepest levels - to the most superficial layer - i.e.the skin. Which is why skin eruptions are so good during constitutionaltreatment) * from above

to below (not always reliable but generally disturbances clearfrom the head down) * from major to minor (as in organs - disturbances in major organs like theliver may clear to leave disturbances in the lungs or kidneys, perhaps) * in reverse order of appearance (as in symptoms)If you're seeing a reoccurrence of symptoms that have gone before, I'd seethat as positive. It is a part of the healing and should not last too long.I am undergoing constitutional treatment and earlier this year had a flareup of an old OCD. It's cleared now but it was a bit alarming at the time.Hopefully your h/p will be able to reassure you but try not to worry toomuch, Anita.Love, light and peace,Sue------------------ Thanks, Sue. That was helpful. After I

emailed about this last night, Henry gestured for me to scratch an itch on his calf. My bedroom furniture is covered with velcro strips where business size laminated cards with nouns and verbs hang. I had the word "scratch" and grabbed it take advantage of a "verb" moment which is so much harder than a noun. When I was finished, he went to the door and pulled off a card that says "be nice". We had a truely communicative exchange for which I was very grateful for after being so worried. That card (among many more) has been hanging on my bedroom door for nearly a year and he has yet to use it. Maybe C's love helped things along. ;~)Even prior to homeopathy, when we saw slight regressions, they were always followed by growth. These new regressions were more than slight for whatever reason, but seem to be serving the same purpose. I feel much better today. Thanks much.Anita --EOF--- "Our ideal is not the spirituality that withdraws from life but the conquest of life by the power of the spirit." - Aurobindo.
