Dear Sirs, I fully agree with Dr Paul G King that the prime reason behind the continuance of vaccines is monetary. If the entire vaccine business was not so profitable neither the manufacturers, the doctors and health officials, nor the politicians would be so interested in them. I can not imagine that the medical community which observes the many adverse effects of their practices without compunction and without feeling the need for change would be so interested in the welfare of the children so as to "protect" them with vaccinations. In India, where I happen to be, the common refrain among parents is that their children are born without any diseases but turn into a "bundle of complications" after they are vaccinated. However their inherent faith in the government, which conducts the vaccination drive, prevents them from doing what they should do; question them. The village population however is not so tolerant and it is not uncommon to hear of health workers being chased and beaten after the children fall ill and die after the shots. The situation has come to such a head that the health workers dread the visit to the villages and the government has to declare incentives to boost their morale. There are some other reasons too which motivate the medical community to persist with vaccinations. One such reason is that the entire industry has grown on the apparent "success" of the vaccination procedure, though statistics clearly show otherwise. (But then who declares these statistics to the common mass?). Debunking the vaccination process would put the future of the medical industry in jeopardy. Till now the people only suspect that vaccines may be behind many illnesses, if their suspicions are confirmed the military would have to be out on the streets to protect the doctors who seem

to have "doctored" themselves into an unenviable position with their illogical persistance with the vaccine drives. Another reason, as pointed out by Dan Olmstead, is that the vaccination process is not only the "holy cow" but also the "cash cow" in the sense that without them the medical industry would fall short of the number of diseases to profit from. One shudders to think what would happen if with the decrease in numbers of autistic, allergic, asthmatic, diabetic, cancer, neurotic, ADD patients the entire research, drug manufacture, middlemen, doctors and allied structure was to collapse. No sane government would like to face such a scenario. The press in India is fully aware of the downside of the vaccine process but they prefer to remain silent because of their tremendous earnings from the huge advertisement budget resorted to by the government to push the vaccines. Members of the press are also

regularly entertained by the drug corporates and the hospitals allow them huge discounts on their medical expenses. Therefore they rarely report adverse events. However, the vested interests supporting vaccines should realise that their efforts are really a loose-loose proposition as vaccine drives do not usually leave them untouched unless of course like Tony Blair, they do not vaccinate their own children while at the same time advocating others to go in for the death and disease shots.
