:Shree Hari:Baisakh Krishna Ashtami, Vikram Samvat 2063, Shukravar 21st April, 2006, FridayRam RamGist of the pravachan given by Swami Ramsukhdasji on 18.12.1989 at 5 a.m:Realisation is not dependent on action. Action takes time, actions start and end, you are dependent in doing action - realisation happens instantly, it is endless, all are independent. The transient can never attain the permanent. The inner senses are all instruments - the essence is beyond all objects and action. You cannot realise through action. The inner senses cannot be cleansed through action - it can only be cleansed by removing the 'myness' with it. We all have the power to renounce but do not do so because we do not believe that there is bliss after renunciation. Just renounce the 'myness' with the perishable and realisation is instant.Realisation Is Not Done By ActionAll actions have a start and have an end. This is everyone's experience. Talking,

listening, walking, eating - all actions. There is tiredness in action. You spend energy in action and you gain energy in inaction. Action can never be permanent. How can you attain something that is permanent through something that is not permanent? Action will start and end - how can it attain the endless. You cannot attain the endless by something that will end. Action is a part of nature - till you have any relation with nature, there will be life and death. The essence is beyond nature. It is beyond action. So where is the obstacle? The obstacle is the attraction towards action and objects. Till there is attraction and desire for action and objects, you cannot realise the essence. You cannot attain equanimity. Where is the difficulty in renouncing something that never stays with you. In fact you cannot renounce what is always with you, you can only renounce something that is separated from you from before. You say that renouncing the myness, the desire

is difficult. I say that not renouncing it is impossible. Renunciation is possible if you want to renounce - but even if you want not to renounce - it is impossible. We all have the power to renounce, but we do not want to because we do not believe that we will get bliss by renouncing. That is why you do not leave it. You keep taking pleasure from the perishable. You keep making new relations - make just one relation - that will never go. A relation with God. Only God is mine - no one else (Mirabai). The essence is not dependant on the purification of the inner senses. The purification of the inner senses cannot make you attain God. If the pen is good, does the writer naturally become good - no. The purification of the senses will make your actions good - it will not make 'you' good. The impurity cannot be cleansed through action - it will be cleansed by leaving the 'myness' - and to leave the 'myness' no action is required. The impurity in the inner senses

is only the assumed 'myness'. Remove it and you will attain the reality - instantly.Ram RamFor full pravachans in Hindi please visit www.swamiramsukhdasji.org "Our ideal is not the spirituality that withdraws from life but the conquest of life by the power of the spirit." - Aurobindo.
