Hi Arana,

I recently decided to pursue the same direction when I realized that

the hormone additives in beef, milk, etc are probably contributing to

my poly cystic ovaries. I am also looking into 'raw foods'. I would

also like to know what others experiences are with this. THanks for

asking a good ? and I am looking for the answers too...

I buy organic for the reasons already mentioned - i would prefer to eat less and know that its safe - which costs the same as to eat food and know you're not safe from chemical contamination - the latter way can cost you in the end - with medical bills and sickness.

So the good point is that people who want organic are prepared to pay more and leave the non-organic for people who eat cheap and don't care - if they don't care about what they eat they probably don't care about their health anyway?

It is expensive because it isn't mass produced, and often not sold in the big supermarkets who always take the cheapest bulk buys and pay as little as they can to make the most profit. Where I buy it is local produce - small amounts and no discounts to the seller either - just the way it works out - I like to buy away from the big supermarkets - tastes better in my heart.
