Guest guest
Often, here in Oz we see signs at petrol outlets which state " there is no ethanol in our petrol " and as you know our fuel prices have skyrocketed - going from $3.40 per gallon to $5.00 per gallon in a matter of months - yesterday i stopped at a cheap petrol outlet and paid $4.60 per gallon and the signs proudly stated " contains ethanol " - yes from sugar production. Now I thought that ethanol had a drying/adverse effect on parts of the engine whereas their 'blurb' says the ethanol cleans the engine. But then they would hardly say that it was bad news would they! www.unitedpetroleum.com.au Does anyone here know? Is ethanol good or bad? Thanks!
