Jane, While reading a news item that appeared about two years back, this author remembered reading your above message. We should not forget great mothers who gave birth to those great Gurus and masters. It has been India's tradition to call mother when her son is being felicitated for extra ordinary achievements. And look here what illiterate women can achieve: http://www.deccanherald.com/deccanherald/jan302004/she5.asp These stories repeat very often. recently, all women in village made one liquor seller close his shop in Andhra village, as men folks were burning all savings in liquor, starving the children.
