Dear Sujeet, The word "cure" does not exist in the dictionary of modern doctors what to talk of an "immediate cure". What they talk of is "disease management". A very convinient term that encompasses everything without leaving any options to ask questions. As per Hahnemann, "Cure is restoring a person his former state of health, at all levels, in the shortest possible time, with the least possible discomfort and using easily comprehensible principles." Unlike the modern system homeopathy has a fully defined rule book consisting of 256 principles which is called the "Organon of Medicine". Despite intense efforts by sceptics not a single principle has been proved wrong. Medical personnel have stopped questioning this organon after loosing many of its leading doctors to homeopathy in the process. So the only way to attack homeopathy is to question its dilutions. Very recently the Lancet magazine,

despite carrying articles in favour of homeopathy in the past, suddenly came out with the results of a half baked study which said that homeopathic medicines were nothing but placebos. Upon examination it was found that the study took into consideration only negative cases and shut out positive ones. Moreover the homeopathic principle of symptomatic treatment was not at all followed, instead it was a disease specific study. There were also no homeopathic physicians involved in the process. Again it was our own Health Minister who led the charge. Put into the backfoot not only did Lancet come out with another study that opined that homeopathic medicines were "200% more effective than placebos" but it gave considerable space in its own magazine for an article eulogizing the efforts of Dr Ramadoss. The Lancet is a prime medical journal. Therefore the time has come to question science, or rather, what masquerades as science. Regards, Jagannath. We have grasped the mystery of the atom and rejected the Sermon on the Mount. Ours is a world of nuclear giants and ethical infants. We know more about war than we know about peace, more about killing than we know about living. -- General Omar Bradley
