Guest guest
Hi,I am new to this list. I was born with Spina Bifida, Hydrocephalus and have several chronic health problems relating to these disabilities. I wanted to thank you for posting the link to this article. I had a TAH (total abdominal hysterectomy) about five weeks ago, and have recently been suffering heartburn, apparently as a result of the TAH and the antibiotics used to try to treat a penicillin-resistant staff infection I contracted in the hospital. My MD and pharmacist (who I trust unconditionally) both recommended Prilosec OTC and Zantac(sp?). I have a history of Claustridium Diffocile (C. Diff), so with this information, I will be looking into natural alternatives to treat the heartburn. If anyone has experience with treating heartburn naturally, please let me know. I am especially interested in treatment with Essential Oils. Guest guest
Hi Tracey, Thought I'd drop a note and recommend drinking alkaline water. It's a great detoxifier for the whole body. BetterWayHealth.com has many articles there to read about benefits and the such. I purchased an Akai brand from hightechhealth.com last month, to date I've noticed from drinking the alkalie water I'm feeling much better stomach wise, more energy lately, mucos problems lessening and it tastes great, very satisfying. Everything tastes better too: teas, coffees and soups. Using the acid water after I shower is helping to soften my skin, condition my hair and help to clear my completion. The acid water is a great vegetable wash and I use it to clean my counters with. I thought it was just a gimmick about PH of water, but I tested the water from the machine, my tap water and the bottled water I was buying before. (the machine comes with a bottle of PH liquid tester) The tap water was neutural (7): neither alkaline nor acid, but contains many harmful things. Acid water is anything below 7 and shows orange to yellow colors. The alkaline water tested above 7: into the blues, and to my disgust I tested the bottled water: yellowee-orange color: ACID water. Another good article for you to read is at: http://www.sixwise.com/newsletters/05/09/07/alkalize.htm Hope these few things can help you on your journey to better health. I know they've helped me. I've been thru months of diarrhea, constipation, IBS, diverticulosus, total hysterectomy, various cysts and many chronic ailments that traditional doctors just couldn't give me answers to. After my 2nd ER visit in a years time [half my body was going numb, couldn't function on a daily basis] numerous tests found absolutely nothing, that's when I decided to dump all my meds and find a better way to health. I see a D.O. who believes in alternative holistic practices. She put me on BHRT, [i was on Premarin before], DHEA & Armour thyroid. She also told me about biological dentistry, our teeth play a major role in our health, each tooth is connected to an organ. My one root canaled tooth corresponded to my large intestine & stomach. The pitfalls of root canals, silver fillings etc. I never knew all this before but have enlightened myself about food choices and how I deal with illness now a days. (which by the way are almost extinct, I've managed to skate by numerous colds, flues, etc that have gone thru the office. That was never the case for me before I started eating properly, chiropractic adjustments, cranial massages, essential oils, a good doctor and a bioligical dentist) Hoping you find yours too.
