Guest guest
Hi, If I've asked this before, please forgive me. Can you tell me how many drops per ounce of tea tree, benzoin, lavender, and vit. e I add to preserve my herbal salve? I am infusing in olive oil calendula, chickweed, SJW, goldenseal, comfrey rt. to make the salve. Thank you, Renee
Guest guest
I don't know about all of those. I use G-Chem preservative, and it tells me to use 3/10 of 1%, or .3% by weight. This would mean, then, that if I have 100 total ounces of oils and waxes in my final product, I should then add .3 oz of G-Chem. That's not very much, as you can see. Someone else once said how much vitamin e to use per ounce or poound or something. but I don't know what the amount was. It wouldn't be a whole lot, though. hth Hazel > Hi, > If I've asked this before, please forgive me.
