I'm going to be working with a massage therapist supplying eo blends--

-she's working with some clients doing an anti cellulite treatments,

and she gave me the list of eo's she needs---my question is this---in

onee blend, the recipie calls for carrot oil, and my supplier doesn't

have it, they do have carrot seed extract---(I guess the carrot oil

has detoxifying properties?) anyway, wouldn't the extract mixed with

grapeseed oil be OK? What about just the grapessed__or is there

another oil thats less expensive, and easier to track down?

Thanks! Cindy:)

I have used a " carrot oil " before. Not the carrot seed essential oil.

It was quite an orange oil, and you had to be quite careful when you

used it, as it would tinge the skin orange if not diluted with other

carriers. It was very good for the skin, and scarring.I believe it is

produced by maceration rather than an essential oil.Liz Earles book

Vital oils- states it is good for acne, irritated skin, and scar

tissues.

I know the supplier in New Zealand was Bronson and Jacobs at the time.

But do not know where you could get it from anywhere else.

Hi Cindy,

There are two oils a carrot seed essential oil and a carrot seed

base/carrier oil. Both are easy to get from wholesalers in the UK and I use

them both but for different applications. (I wouldn't use either for

cellulite though).

If you are happy to and can order from a wholesaler in the UK let me know

and I will post contact details.

Stay well ..... Richard MIFA, AOC .... UK
