Guest guest
There are two carrot oils that we stock. One is an essential oil: Carrot Seed Oil and the other is a carrier oil: Carrot Tissue Oil. Carrot Seed Oil is relatively expensive (about like Frankincense) and is a true essential oil. It has a light amber color, is relatively odorless and is, of course, very concentrated as are all essential oils, i.e., you must dilute before use. Carrot Tissue Oil is made from macerated carrots infused in oil. Ours is infused in Sunflower Oil. It is very orange in color with very little odor and is relatively inexpensive when compared to the essential oil. It could be safely used undiluted but I imagine it would turn the skin orange. It is best used in combination with other carrier oils. Hope this helps, Ivan G. I have used a " carrot oil " before. Not the carrot seed essential oil. It was quite an orange oil, and you had to be quite careful when you used it, as it would tinge the skin orange if not diluted with other carriers. It was very good for the skin, and scarring.I believe it is produced by maceration rather than an essential oil.Liz Earles book Vital oils- states it is good for acne, irritated skin, and scar tissues. I know the supplier in New Zealand was Bronson and Jacobs at the time. But do not know where you could get it from anywhere else.
