Guest guest
Hi MagnoliaC, Here is an explanation given to me by my first Reiki teacher: Reiki is a gentle, safe 'hands-on' technique used to amplify the universal energy which naturally flows through us all. When Reiki is directed through oneself or another the body and mind are balanced. This in turn awakens and develops our natural healing ability. Reiki reduces stress, and encourages clarity and vitality. As the recipient's energy is brought into balance, she usually feels a deep sense of relaxation and warmth. The practitioner does not diagnose, but is simply providing the life-force energy. Reiki, or the Usui System of Natural Healing, is believed to have originated in Tibet, and was rediscovered in the late 1800's by Dr. Mikao Usui from Kyoto (Japan). Reiki is not a religion and practitioners are not required to join any organization. Reiki is a safe, non-intrusive natural method of healing. It complements medical and other healing systems, and can help to speed recovery from surgery and trauma, and give relief from pain. warm regards, Barbara, Tokyo Magnolia C wrote: > Hey... this isn't really relevant, but someone mentioned Reiki... Guest guest
Reiki is a form of energy massage basically. We can channel the energy through our bodies and into specific areas that we touch on you. It's a very warm, healing touch. It helps with a lit of problems, basically allowing the body to heal itself. Where are you at? Maybe I can recommend a Reiki practioner for you.
