Guest guest
Ginger would also be good - don't forget to drink lots of water. Pop, coffee, juice, milk etc. cannot be substituted for the water. According to Batmanjedi (Sp?) in his book " The Bodies Many Cries For Water " nausea is often caused by a dehydrated body crying for water. (Pop actually takes water out of the body.) Guest guest
Thanks for your advice Moira and Kathy. I tried drinking strong peppermint tea, when I was feeling nauseas and it helped! I have to try the lavendel and fennel, when I have a change... Thanks again! MagnoliaGet more from the Web. Guest guest
Response to Magnolia C. Re Nausea: Ginger is the classic remedy for nausea that is a symptom of motion sickness. Essential oil of ginger can be inhaled from a handkerchief that has a couple of drops on it but do not allow the oil to contact the skin or come too close to the eyes as it is very strong. Also, eating a piece of candied ginger may help. Other cases of nausea may be relieved by Coriander or Lavender, which may be inhaled as described above or used in massage (put 2 drops essential oil in a teaspoon of carrier oil (such as sweet almond oil, olive oil, or grapeseed oil), mix well, and rub over the abdomen using a circular, clockwise motion. Re Fasting: For fasting, essential oil of Peppermint has been reported to help suppress appetite. Juniper is a diuretic that helps cleanse the liver and generally aids in detoxification. It can be used in massage (2 drops essential oil of Juniper in 2-3 teaspoons carrier oil) or in a bath (mix 3 drops juniper in a tablespoon of milk an add to a warm bath). Also great during a fast is the juice of half a lemon mixed with 8-10 oz distilled water. This helps to control appetite and detoxify.
