I am sorry - I never meant to infer that herbs work the same as

pharmaceutical drugs. In most cases they are safer. (Deaths from drugs

rank #4 - up there with heart and cancer deaths)

I would never go off of a drug " cold turkey " especially if you have been on

it for more than a few days. If it were me, I would want to gradually work

onto something that would be healing the cause rather than the symptom

without the side effects. No one knows your body like you do - Listen,

Listen, Listen to your body - it will tell you whether what you are taking

is working and right for you.

Remember - Doctors are only " practicing " medicine and that makes us the

guinea pigs.

The part is not greater than the whole!!!! That is the reason the

pharmaceutical's are in over their heads with side effects. Anytime you

isolate the " working " ingredient from the whole herb (which is the way most

drugs are made) you will have side effects. The reason they have to do this

is that they cannot patent herbs and they need to make their product

exclusive. (More financially lucrative)

An opinion from an old woman who has been watching the pharmaceuticals and

medical profession for 50+ years and watching their unfair and biased

(money) prey on the American public . They have made some excellent strides

in surgeries and some very technical areas but not in all things.

Guess you hit me at the wrong time.

Hello everyone, I have come in late on this discussion. I assuming it is

about herbs, paxil(drug for depression). I can speak from deep depression

and recovery-- what has been the only thing that has assisted in my

recovery; and now in the current moment, if I know I am even thinking or

feeling being sad, angry, the victim, hopeless the many, many signals of

depression is therauptic, 100% grade essential oil of Frankincense or

sandalwood.

It would be an honor if this assist one person in having a balance, living

in the present, depression free life to have shared this information.
