Guest guest
Hi everyone, since we are talking aromatherapy andles, here is a recipe:WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO MAKE A CANDLE: Materials are readily available at your local crafts store. One 8 " x 8 " sheet of beeswax (pink for a rose candle; purple for a lavender candle; green for a rosemary candle; etc.) Wicking LETS MAKE A ROUND OR SQUARE PILLAR CANDLE: Fold the sheet of beeswax in half and gently tear or cut along the fold. Fold these two pieces in half length-wise and gently tear in half. You now have four (4)2 " x 8 " pieces of beeswax. Cut 3 " of wicking. Place the wicking flush with one end of one sheet (the bottom of the candle) and extend approximately 1 " beyond the other end (top of candle). Put a few drops of your favorite Essential Oil around the wick: Joy for your rose candle to kindle the flame of love Lavender for that calming, soothing effect Rosemary to overcome mental fatigue Peppermint to energize your mood Eucalyptus to calm and relax Christmas Spirit to bring back childhood memories Your imagination is the limit. Firmly fold the edge of the beeswax over the wicking. Continue rolling the candle gently and tightly. Press the edge of a second sheet of beeswax and continue rolling to add thickness to your candle. Repeat this step with the two remaining beeswax sheets. Finish the candle by pressing the edge of the last beeswax sheet to the candle. To make the candle stand, gently press the bottom against your work surface. To make your candle square, gently press each side against your work surface. Pinch the squared edges to create more finished corners. ENJOY! Decorate your candle with raffia bows or colored beeswax accents for gift giving Regards, Gabriele dexlen
