Guest guest
Hi, You may want to try making a salve with olive oil and beeswax and geranium, cypress, and yarrow EO's. Or you can fill a bowl with cool water, swish, and add a couple drops of each EO, put a thin washcloth in the mixture, wring, and apply to the affected area. Another option is a Sitz bath with a couple drops of each EO. In any event, I have found this blend very useful for hemorrhoids. Amy > > I am experiencing hemorrhoids pain for the first time. Guest guest
Are you sure you have hemorrhoids? I went for YEARS thinking that I did- putting up with terrible pain and itching- only to find out recently that I have chronic skin condition instead. It was diagnosed with a biopsy and I ma now under treatment and pain free for the first time in two years! Be sure you get a confirmed diagnosis, preferably from an OB/GYN. My regular doctor missed the diagnosis and was treating me for yeast infections and hemorrhoids. Guest guest
hi, sheila-- the most effective remedy i've ever tried is one that i learned in mexico: i had just spent the better part of the previous day riding from houston to monterrey and was facing a 20-hr bumpy ride between 2 men in an old truck the rest of the way to colima...and i was bleeding and in pain. my friend broke off a spear from an aloe vera plant, split it open down the middle, and told me to scrape out some of the aloe vera flesh with my thumbnail. i got as much of the flesh as i could up my rectum (it makes for a very slippery suppository!) and then swabbed some of the gel/juice around. doing that, i felt kinda silly. but i was also *immediately* hemorrhoid-free for 2yrs or more. take care-- allene
Guest guest
Haemorrhoids otherwise known as piles is a common problem. They are a varicose type vein which swells within the Anus and sometimes protrude. The symptoms include itching, pain and sometimes bleeding. They are common in pregnancy where the growing womb can sometimes restrict the flow of blood within the pelvic area. Alternatively it may be the result of poor diet,or constipation, poor circulation or even lack of exercise. There are several remedies to counteract haemorrhoids. Dietary remedies include the increase in the amount of dietary fibre, both soluble and insoluble by eating fruit and vegetables at least 5 portions a day. A portion being roughly a cupful. Porridge for breakfast, as the oats the porridge is made from not only provide the fibre but also soothe the lining of the digestive tract. Also brown rice, nuts, seeds, pulses, and wholegrains are a good source. To prevent constipation make sure that you take plenty of water based drinks as well. To reduce the pain and swelling you could try a naturopathic idea of using a sitz bath. This sitz bath consists of two large bowls, (not bowels) large enough to sit in. Fill one with hot but not boiling water and the other fill with cold but not freezing water. To each bowl add 3 (three) drops of geranium EO . Sit in the hot bowl with your feet in the cold bowl for 3 minutes. After 3 minutes change over and sit for 1 minute. repeat this sequence 2 or 3 times making sure you finish by sitting in the cold. Do this twice a day for several days. Afterwards apply horsechestnut and witch hazel cream (Aesculus and hamamelis) whenever you feel uncomfortable. You could try Biochemic tissue salts, such as MAG PHOS, NAT MUR, CALC SULPH, SILICA or FERR PHOS widely available from health food shops, larger pharmacies.. Aromatherapy ointment. Use 50g un-perfumed cream or ointment. Add 6 drops each of geranium, frankincense and cypress. Apply with a gauze. Repeat whenever painful. As an alternative use juniper instead of the geranium.. I hope you find this useful. No doubt you will have other suggestions, its a matter of trial and error to see what suits best. Good luck Ron P. - " Sheila Leonard Henry " <sheila Tuesday, October 24, 2000 5:28 AM [AX] Hemorrhoids > Hello > > I am experiencing hemorrhoids pain for the first time. Even the glycerine suppositories And soothing aloe creams I made. Everything pretty much. Sighs, ah well. Guest guest
A friend of mine uses witchhazel, she says that works best for her. It doesn't cure the problem, but helps with burning and itching.
