Guest guest
Anyone know what oils I can use for sinus? I have been using a few drops Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Red Thyme and clove on a tissue that I inhale every so often during the day (really helps) but once I go to bed, I only sleep for a short while and then wake up in the wee hours of the morning with this incredible pain in my face, any ideas? Guest guest
Have you tried Cajeput? I find it not as 'in your face' as Eucalyptus, but its effects seem to last better. Guest guest
Never even heard of Cajeput, what plant does it come from? I will try to see if my supplier has any in stock next time I go. Thanks Moira Johannesburg Re: [AX] SINUSITUS > Have you tried Cajeput? Guest guest
Hi there, Maggie Tisserand suggests using a little known oil called INULA for sinus related problems. I think Ledet carries it. www.ledet.com Warm Regards, Sandra from BC Canada > Anyone know what oils I can use for sinus? Guest guest
Hi Sandra and everyone on the list, Inula graveolens is an essential oil which should be treated with great respect and reserved for the treatment of conditions where an oil high in Lactones is required, it is not widely available, as it is quite expensive and has a number of safety precautions. This makes it an oil which should only be used by people who have had extensive training in not only the use of oils but also the nature of illness, and how to restore health and well being, not to mention the metabolic pathway of different essential oils. Definitely, a great oil which needs to be used very wisely. With regards to sinusitis, my first approach would be to identify the causing agent, and, if possible have a culture and sensitivy, with the use of essential oils instead of antibiotics in the test (aromatogram). Then, once the right oil is established the treatment will be geared to enhance immunity and deal with the infection on a long term basis. With love, light and peace from Vivian www.realessencesoflife.com *By the way Inula is an emerald green oil, for those of you who are interested in the healing powers of colour. - " Sandra Wallin " <swallin Thursday, October 05, 2000 10:15 PM Re: [AX] SINUSITUS > Hi there, > > Maggie Tisserand suggests using a little known oil called INULA for sinus > related problems. Guest guest
Thanks Doc, This is the best list I have ever seen, amazing information. All I can say is this 'sinus snuff' looks much more vigorous than plain salt snuff. Will try it! Patty
