Guest guest
Hi Everyone,Moira Moira du Toit asked for a brief outline of my disability and which eo`s I use. Charcot-Marie-Tooth (CMT) is a progressive, hereditary neuro-muscular disorder which causes the degeneration of the nerves and thus muscle wasting occurs. It causes deformities of the feet and hands especially. Numbness, sensory loss and fatigue are also present. I have a very severe case of the condition with a lot of pain and weakness. I use various oils to treat different aspects of the condition. At night I rub my limbs with an oil or lotion for pain and muscular aches, black pepper, eucalyptus, peppermint and rosemary are some of the oils I find good. In the morning I use a homemade showergel to relieve stiffness, lemongrass and patchouli with palmarosa are the best for this. I`ve had good results treating pressure sores with patchouli, pepperment, orange and eucalyptus in a base cream. The use of eos means I have cut traditional medication to a minimum I only take painkillers on very rare occassions now and I have stopped my anti-inflammatory pills altogether. Joyce. Ireland.
