Guest guest
Really related to Joyce's comments about using eo's to support healing a disability. I too have done so. In January, 1995 it became apparent that I had a memory lapse and short term memory problem. I was working as a medical social worker in a small community hospital at the time and found I could not remember even the smallest details of work related tasks. An MRI found three small blood vessels that for some unknown reason had broken and caused the damage to occur. I eventually received long term disability and sold my home left Illinois and moved to Florida. The neurologist could offer no hope and no rehabilitation, so I developed a recovery program of my own. I used BioFeedback, Body work, cross training, holographic whole brain tapes, and a myraid of other approaches and the most important part of my 'program' turned out to be essential oils. I used Heliochrysum, Geranium, Basil, Peppermint, and Rosemary in a blend that I took to my BioFeedback sessions. I could literally see on the monitor, the changes in my brain wave patterns! The therapist commented that he had never seen such a rapid recovery and he too attributed the progress to essential oils. Of course it helped to have a therapist who was knowledgable about aromatherapy too. Today, I am fully recovered and my IQ has increased by 19 points. I continued to persue knowledge in eo's and now have over 700 hours in Aromatherapy AND I have completed massage therapy and skin care school and am opening my own business in which I combine my counseling, massage, and aromatherapy skills. I don't know where I would be without eo's on a daily basis and I am eternally grateful to the lady from India who advised me five years ago, to use the oils in my healing. Not all aromatherapy is designed to be used with massage. I have read extensively on Aromatic Medicine in France and other parts of the world and notice almost all the information excludes the idea that massage is the best delivery system for eo's. Thanks Joyce, for renewing my inspiration via eo's. Namaste' Glory
