Pigmentation, stomach ulcers etc

Welcome Gulfam and other newbies

Someone wrote recently on this list about polycystic ovaries - perhaps you could

check the archives.

Lemon essence is supposed to reduce pigmentation, like lighten a freckle. You'd

have to be very careful though if it's a larger area, as lemon dries out the

skin.

I think you'd be better consulting a beauty therapist.

For stomach ulcers, you could use compresses over the area to ease the pain,

with

camomile, lavender, ginger. I'm not medically qualified to advise you on the

internal use of essential oils for stomach ulcers - again, you'd have to consult

someone who is. Perhaps Ron might have some ideas? A holistic practitioner

would

also look at why you (or whoever it is) has the ulcers in the first place, and

try

to change lifestyle, diet, stress and so on to eradicate them. Aromatherapy can

definitely be used here.

Facial hair: I assume you want to reduce it? Don't think aromatherapy can help

here. Some oils are good to promote hair growth, like rosemary, ylang ylang and

bay

laurel.

This is where I get back on my old hobby horse of warning that although

aromatherapy is wonderful and the essential oils effective, we all have to

remember

our own limitations and those of aromatherapy too.

Helen, this is valid. By recognising the limits of aromatherapy we give its

benefits credibility. My physician recommends aromatherapy as complementary

medicine to some of his patients, and allows the aromatherapist to use his

rooms for treatment of his patients. He wouldn't do that if the

aromatherapist was making wild and unjustified claims.
