Hi Mandy,

 

There are quite a few of us from South Africa, particularly Helen Ranger in

Cape Town who is a regular contributor and then myself in Johannesburg. I

post sometimes when I'm not *too* busy.

 

I did a short " Christian Journalism " course earlier this year, run by Quo

Vadis and Challenge magazine, and I really enjoyed it. I really must try to

find time to write some articles, though!

 

I have been involved in the world of healing for many years and I am a

trained paramedic, and I am extensively involved at a very basic level with

both first aid and home based care. In the latter I make use of

aromatherapy, for example for the prevention of pressure sores, the general

cleansing of room and equipment, psychological care of patients. My own

physician is very supportive of the work I do with the little AIDS babies

and toddlers at Ethembeni AIDS babies home in Doornfontein, as well as the

work I do with HIV positive adults through the OASIS. I believe that I

have the spiritual gift of healing, which I exercise in various ways,

including aromatherapy.
