Guest guest
Hi Diane For respiratory problems, trees, trees and more trees. Think of trees being the lungs of the planet - they're helpful for our lungs too. Daniel Penoel wrote a good article on the types of eucalyptus that featured in an IJA - I could look it up if you like. It seems to me that the leaf oils (tea tree, ravensara - my personal favourite, eucalyptus) are good for nasal and throat problems, whereas the wood oils (cedarwood, sandalwood) and the gum oils (benzoin, frankincense, myrrh) are better for the deeper lung problems. The gums help dry up mucous. Frankincense particularly helps with asthma, as it evens and deepens the breathing. Shirley Price says ravensara stops flu in its tracks - I tend to agree.
