For those of you who don't know what Let's Talk About is...... well it's all in the name!!! I will write down some basics about an oil and whoever wants to put their two cents in, however simple it may be, can do so until we have nothing more to add about an oil. there has not been much participation the last couple of times so I hope their will be this time. So Let's Talk About...Cypress!!! Cypress Latin Name: Cupressus sempervirens Main Countries of origin: Most Mediterranean Countries Extracted Needle like leaves and twigs by steam distillation. Sometimes the cones and or wood may be used, as all parts of the tree give essential oils. Description: May be colorless to a pale yellow green. Has a pleasant sweet but yet refreshing juniper-like fragrance. Safety: Cypress wood causes headaches in carpenters. The major component a-pinene has produced similar effects therefore prolonged exposure to this oil MAY be unwise. Mixes well with the same oils as Pine and juniper. It is delightful with in a bath mixed with lavender. Uses: Mentally Uplifting helps calm anxiety asthma spasmodic coughs Rheumatism AND.......
