Hi everyone

I'm giving up smoking on Tuesday with the help of a smoking cessation group

that has been set up here in the UK through the Health Authority.

I have just purchased something called 'LOGADO' which is filled with oils

which are supposed to help with the sensory deprivation.

Unfortunately it doesn't give a list of ingredients so wondered if any of

you could help so I can make my own inhalant.

Cos this is really expensive and I would prefer to make my own then I would

know that it was all EO's.

Dear Bernadette,

Good for you & congratulations on taking care of your self!!! I gave up

smoking last July. I'd just like to share with you the things that helped me

along the way. I'll list them.

1. Licorice root -- chew on them when you need to.

2. Licorice extract -- put under your tongue -- helps with cravings.

3. Lavender oil in an inhaler helps with stress.

4. Warming oils like rosemary and eucalyptus and Epsom salts in your bath to

detox.

5. Skin brushing for detox.

6. Drink water and breathe instead of thinking about not smoking.

7. Eat high Tryptophan foods to help create more Serotonin in your brain.

Eat a complex carb three hours later to help get the

tryptophan into your brain. This helps with impulse control. <A

information for you. It's loaded with ideas on how to use food to help you

gain control over your addictions/compulsions etc.

8. Exercise that you enjoy doing that makes you breath and sweat.

9. Plenty of quality sleep and rest.

10. Walk away from stressful situations that trigger the urge to smoke. (I

watch out for the emotion of anger coming on with me -- that is mostly why

I smoked, I think.)

Good luck,

Vickie
