Guest guest
I am just after a bit of help once again! I have recently bought Petitgrain and Mandarin but as I am not able to use oils that are described as 'emmenagogue' or hormone regulating (on myself), would anyone be able to tell me if Petitgrain or Mandarin have those properties, please? It may seem unusual but it is very important for me not to use oils with these properties. Many thanks, in advance! (They won't be wasted, by the way, as I can use them for the guests at the disabled home I work for.) Blessings to all Melanie
Guest guest
Hello Melanie I have just looked in Shirley Price's book, Aromatherapy workbook and it lists Mandarin (Citrus reticulata) and Petitgrain (Citrus aurantium amara) as Not emmenagogic. For your interest the following oils are emmenagogic: Aniseed (pimpinella anisum) Cinnamon Bark (cinnamomum zeylanicum) Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare) Nutmeg (Myristica fragrans) Sage (Salvia officinalis) Tagetes (Tagetes glandulifera) Hope that helps you Nerys Australia
