Proof EO's are safe

There is 'scientific proof' regarding the safety of eo's -

plus in the case of a number of oils, a long history of safe use ie.,

empirical evidence. " Essential Oil Safety " by Robert Tisserand and Balacs (Churchill Livingstone) is a good place to start. I think the safety

issues

at present are just really overexaggerated. If such low dosages of eo's

would be a problem - you better make sure no pregnant woman uses

perfume, drinks any coffee or tea, eats any food or uses a cosmetic with

many of the common synthetic presevatives, colouring agents, spice

additives, etc., etc., etc. Many such common compounds have a greater toxic

effect (that is, at a lower dose) and a number of these such as nitrosamines

(as can be found in preserved meats and a by-product/contaminant of common

cosmetic emulsifiers and surfactants) are mutagegenic and carcinogenic as

well. I just think that you have not fully

informed yourself on these issues - so it is easier to opt for " when in

doubt, don't use it. " I am not singling you out only - I see that it is quite

common to think like that.

.. Great for some " ultimate " level of safety - but

bad for the truth and for the informed use of essential oils.
