I have been lurking for a while, but now I need some advice. Is there an essential oil or aromatherapy blend that I can use for panic attacks? " Here are some oils that I have used for anxiety: bergamot birch* blue tansy fir* frankincense juniper berry lavender lemon mandarin melissa myrrh neroli orange patchouly Roman chamomile rose rosemary* rosewood sandalwood* spruce tangerine thyme* ylang ylang (* denotes oils for panic, all others I have used for anxiety and panic) As you can see, there are a lot to choose from (and probably several others I haven't experimented with). I have found a mixture of bergamot, lemon, mandarin, rose, and ylang ylang very effective. I find the best way to mix the oils (if everyone involved is willing) is to have the client smell the oils and rate their pleasantness. I then mix them according to how well they are received by the client ie., if they enjoyed rose the most, followed by bergamot mandarin, ylang ylang and then lemon, I would mix them with 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, drops respectively.
