Guest guest
Hi Tracy There are people on this list who have used essential oils on their cats with no harm caused. However, my vet (a homeopathic vet) advises that cats' metabolism can't cope with essential oils. I'm not sure why. I do know that I once put myrrh on a tickbite and my poor cat foamed at the mouth and really worried me. Since then I am very wary of using essential oils on cats. Sorry, but I go the chemical route. If my cats don't get fleas, then my dog doesn't either and I don't have them in the house. This week I had no choice but to have my house fumigated professionally. It horrified me to have to do it, but I do live in Africa and sometimes we have bugs that just won't respond to essential oils. At least it didn't smell horrible - these days they're quite advanced. Hope I haven't horrified everyone. I just think that aromatherapy has limits. Helen in Cape Town
