Guest guest
Hi, I brought my cats to get groomed today and little did I know, my cats have fleas. Even though they are indoor cats, somehow they got it. Anyways, I would love to know if anyone has ever used EO's to kill fleas. I made up a bottle of everything I can think up and sprayed it around, but I need to know if it is good. I don't want to have to use that chemical stuff. Thanks Tracy
Guest guest
Hi Tracy, Try this. J & J Baby Shampoo, 10-12 drops of Eucalyptus globulus, couple drops of Citronella. Then spray down the area with Eucalyptus. Flees hate it! Let me know what you think and if you add anything to the recipe. Guest guest
What's worked for us: We have cats. Lots of cats. All indoors. If we notice a flea problem and if you've got one, you will notice it, we get several containers from Wal-mart of boric acid - just the cheap stuff. We put it everywhere, in the attic, in the carpet, the furniture, not on the cats though. Then we pound it into the carpet and the furniture with a broom and don't vacuum for a few days. The boric acid has worked very well for us. Good luck, take care, Karen T wrote: > " T " <feline4 > > Hi, > > I brought my cats to get groomed today and little did I know, my cats have > fleas. Guest guest
I << feline4 >> Try using Lemongrass in a spray mist on all the carpet, furniture and ect. All bugs hate Lemongrass! My friend sprayed her yard with it and never had a tick or flea problem again! Works every time! Best Regards, Dianna L. Pierce
Guest guest
Hi Tracy YES YES YES I have used eo's in tap water in a spray bottle (like the ones you spray your plants with) and it does work. I have used in the past citronella, lemongrass and lavender in equal amounts and sprayed it all over the carpets. You may have to do it a few times to get rid of them but it will eventually work. Good Luck Karen in the UK
Guest guest
I didn't believe it till I tried it, but it honestly works. I put an amethyst in my 3 cats & 1 dogs water dish. Make sure the stone is large enough for them not to swallow. My husband is in the wood business so we have piles of logs in our yard, if you flip a log over, you will see millions of fleas jumping around. My dog and 1 cat play on these logs, yet they never caught fleas. Try it. Barb >Karen Sellars <ksellars > > >Re: [AX] Fleas >Tue, 07 Mar 2000 20:12:20 -0600 > >What's worked for us: We have cats. I have three dogs. While I can't say it totally eliminates fleas in our household, I do feel it energizes the water and it is said to balance the intellectual, emotional, and physical energies of the user, making the pet stronger on all these levels. Perhaps making them less tasty to those pesky fleas. I know that my dogs don't have near the problem with fleas as many other folks, and it looks really cool in the water dish. As said previously make sure its a large enough piece if you're going to give it a try! Blessings, Susan
