Guest guest
Hey all, I know from previous messages that oils are not a really good idea for cats. My problem is that I have a friend who's cat has a bad habit of urinating all over, and it was recommended to her to use oil of citronella and/or oil if wintergreen to make him stop. (by sprinkling it where he tends to go). I feel incomfortable with her doing this and told her I would try to get more information for her. I would appreciate to hear your opinions on this. Thanks in advance. Lisa Calgary, AB, Canada Talk to your friends online with Messenger. http://im.
Guest guest
Hi Lisa, Since I use oils around my cats all of the time, I'm wondering why it would be considered wrong. Plus, you're talking about using oils in the places where the cat does his inappropriate urinating. Citronella would be great, Birch - ok, how about Orange, too? The thing is, it will take doing this several times daily, for at least 3 weeks - just to break the habit. Does anyone give kitty a bit of catnip, just so his feelings of well being are improved? Maybe he just plain doesn't like the type of litter being used. This is not an uncommon problem. My kitties let me know in no uncertain ways when I'm not pleasing their needs. Anyone else got some great ideas? Wishing you well in all ways, Lynn Lisa <luvz2laugh_2000 Hey all, I know from previous messages that oils are not a really good idea for cats.
