Guest guest
Hi Melanie You wrote: < are there any oils you should avoid for someone who has diabetes or epilepsy? > I don't have any information on oils to avoid for diabetics (has anyone else?). It is said that geranium is useful for them, but I don't know why, unless it's because geranium balances the hormones. Bit unscientific. As for epilepsy, avoid fennel, hyssop, sage and rosemary. Patricia Davis has a good list of 'never use' oils in her A-Z. I would add two things: avoid head massage for epileptics as this might trigger off an attack. Also, know your first aid - what to do if a client has a fit or goes into a diabetic coma on your massage bed. Helen in Cape Town
