Don't forget to add 5 drops of Lemon(to boost the other eos & also help it

taste better), 1 drop of Cinnamon Leaf( kills strep & staff virus as well as

taste), and 3 drops of Peppermint (for the stomach & taste). Good Luck!

Be careful of too much Oregano because it is a sensitizer and too much can

cause liver damage.

What other oils aren't good for the liver, in larger doses? Cloves,

lavender or tea tree?

With my husband and I sick, we're using Butch Owen's recipe...........equal

parts of the cloves, tea tree oil and lavender, with the lavender going in

last. Not sure it's this blend, but each time we diffuse it, in the

nebulizer, my hacking, hurting cough breaks up. Not only that, but my

husband loves the aroma. Is too much of this not good? What amounts and

at what intervals would be safe?

Thanks again, Butch. Hoping for some more of your remedies. This one is a

keeper.

Hi all

I like Jonas' method of applying his antiviral mix to the feet and spine.

Inhalation from a tissue or in a burner would also be good. But I'd be wary of

oregano with its phenol content - probably better to burn/vapourise than apply

to

the skin.

Today I woke up with the beginnings of a sore throat, so made a mixture of honey

and

one drop of ravensara to which I added echinacea, lemon juice and warm water,

then I

drank it. Yuk, but it seems to work. I certainly wouldn't take cinnamon leaf

orally, nor more than one drop of essential oil a day. But I guess we've had

this

discussion of internal use before, and I tend to err on the safe side.

I'd encourage you to look at ravensara though, it's really good to keep flu at

bay.

It comes from a Madagascan tree. I think all the tree oils (whether gums,

leaves or

wood) are good for the lungs and respiratory problems - after all, trees are the

lungs of the planet!
