Guest guest
Hello Everyone, I have been out of the picture for a couple of weeks and have not yet looked at any of the past posts. I hope everything was in order and everyone was following list rules. If anyone found a problem, you can now write to me and tell me about it. Don't worry about being a snitch. I need to know of I can keep this list unmoderated or find a co-moderator. If anyone wrote to me in the pst 2 weeks it was deleted. Sorry. Happy New Year Everyone. I hope all is well for you . Guest guest
Good comments Jeannie ... I got hold of the aromatherapy database via this list and then a website. Perfectly charming. It's up to us whether we buy or not ... but at least give us the opportunity. Suzanna Sherlock J. Fazio [jfazio] Monday, 3 January 2000 11:04 PM Re: [AX] Hi: list moderator " J. Fazio " <jfazio Whether the list should be unmoderated - it is my opinion that this should be your call, as owner. What do you expect of the list, and what do you absolutely not want to see here. The way that I look at email lists is that this is the host/hostess's home and I am the guest. It is with that that I try my best in keeping up to speed with the guidelines. The rules that are iffy to you - why not specifically address them to us so that maybe we can vote to help you make a decision? One thing that I would love the ability to see are people's websites in their sig files, if applicable. With so many members being much more experienced in Aromatherapy, seeing what they have to offer, via online info and/or products, would give me the chance to learn more and maybe comparison shop. And although I appreciate your not wanting direct solicitations on the Exchange, these subtle types of selling, via urls, might just give us the chance to decide what is best for us. You figure that if someone on your list really wants to sell us something, they are going to find a way, anyway. By restricting people from emailing us with such sales pitches, I think you're doing the best that you can do in avoiding any types of sales-related problems. But the urls should be where we can go to make up our own minds as to whether we want to take a chance. A co-list owner or moderator(s) can never hurt. It gives you more freedom and peace of mind. The members also benefit in that they have the opportunity to speak to an alternate administrator when you're unavailable. Speaking for myself, I have been very good lister while you were away. :> Rhavda, thank you for your advice regarding the Sweet Fennel. Thank you.
