Guest guest
Hi Stacey and everyone I've been away, and am only now catching up on the mails. Stacey asks: <Does anybody actively practice aromatherapy in their town? How do you do it? Do you rent space in a massage therapist's office, do you lecture to people, do you advertise? > Yes, I practise at home now - I have a room with its own entrance (so the clients don't have to traipse through my house). But for four years I did practise part-time at a doctors' surgery - I rented a room from them two mornings a week. They would sometimes recommend their patients to me, but mostly I brought in my own clients. I do advertise but only in the yellow pages and leaflets in health shops. I also do quite a bit of writing, lecturing and teaching of courses. This is the best way to educate the public about what aromatherapy is and what it can do for them. Voluntary work in hospitals, children's or old-age homes, and hospices is also good for that. Hope everyone has a good holiday.
