Guest guest
John, Everyone has their favorites. It depends on your personality, and what you want to do with them, to pick your first EO's Lavender and Tea Tree are invaluable for their medicinal properties, they can safely be used " neat " (full strength on skin) on most adults, and they both have many other AT uses. They each have different properties, and most people (I guess) consider both mandatory. Patchouli is our favorite, besides reminding you of the '60's and the scent inside of a true Persian rug dealership, it has many, many AT uses, is very good for both skin and hair. Both Roman and German Chamomile are fairly expensive, but are both great analgesics, are extremely calming, and have many medicinal uses. There are some differences between them but either is awesome. Eucalyptus is very cleansing and is great to diffuse during the cold season. It also has many other uses. I suppose if I were limited to five oils, these would be my choices, though geranium, clary sage, and bergomot would be greatly missed, as would peppermint and helicrysum.
