Guest guest
Thanks Michael. You are definitely a wealth of information, please hang around this list. The Cade listed in my reference was definitely the toxic one, the description was " Tar-like, smoky " It only gave a warning for skin irritation on sensitive skin. That tells me that we all should not depend on one reference only! Rosemary EO has also been considered an aphrodisiac (though not in this house) Susan, I feel that overuse is probably the reason for EO's becoming ineffective, though I totally agree with all of the reasons you gave. In your profession, I'm sure you see the the effects of tolerance and overuse each and every day. (though the MD's probably don't...if you know what I mean) EO's, herbal supplements, even vitamins work like any medication, and your body probably will eventually get to the point that you don't see any effect from them. My fear has always been what may happen when you stop using the substance your body has become tolerant to. (Long term use/physical dependence) Your suggestion for using a wide variety of EO's and vary your blends is straight to the point. EVERYONE SHOULD GO BACK AND RE-READ SUSAN'S POSTING, and contemplate its meaning. Frank
