EO and Homeopathy

Hi April

The subject of essential oils and homeopathy often comes up. Old school

homeopaths

will tell you the two don't mix (the oils being so strong smelling, antidote the

remedies). Then some will tell you just to avoid eucalyptus and pepperming, as

well

as camomile if you're taking them for menopausal problems. Then again,

homeopaths

trained more recently might tell you it doesn't matter. I would say, try using

both. If the remedies don't work, then say goodbye to the eos for a while. As

for

me, I find the remedies work even if I use my oils and drink coffee. I have

some

information gleaned from another list on a conference in Holland (I think) where

this question is debated. I will mail it to you privately. If anyone else

wants

it, let me know.

Hi Helen,

I'd love the info too! I was just discussing this with a friend today who was

told by her Homeopath that it wasn't that big a deal. I suggested that she not

use the oils for the day or so that she was taking the homeopathic formula.

Wishing you well in all ways,

Lynn

April, would you mind revealing your favorite blend for insomnia and for

colds and flu? Thanks, so much. Sorry I can't help you with your question,

as I'm very new to aromatherapy. I hope you're well, and that you have

gotten the answer that you were looking for.
