Guest guest
Greetings all and Warm Welcomes to all the newcomers! I'm pretty new here as well. I've been into alternative medicine for as long as I can remember, but I'm actively pursuing my education in that area now, since we discovered that my husband has fibromyalgia. Carol, we're experimenting with eo's right now, so I can't give you a " guaranteed to work " blend, but here's one we're trying right now: It's a combination of " Depressed & Achy Blend " someone suggested to me (I don't remember which list it was from In 4 oz carrie oil: 8d Rose otto (this is good for depression) 4d Helychrysum (this is good for muscular aches) 2d Patchouli 5d Frankincense Another Blend to try is 3d Geranium (hmm, yum, I think this one's my favorite 3d Helycrysum 3d Roman Chamomile 3d Lavender You can also try a bath with: 2d ginger 3d eucalyptus 4d rosemary There's a lady on another list I'm on: " AromaSpirit " that made a special blend for fybromyalgia by request of a friend, and she's sending me a trial size for free since it's in the testing stages. Would you be interested? I can forward your e-address to her or send you her URL. Right now, hubby is having most trouble with sleeplessness and indigestion. I've tried a few drops of sedative eos on his pillow and in the massage oil. I've also tried teas with chamomile and Kava Kava. But he still has to take " tylenol PMs " if he wants to get more than 2 hours of rest. And I don't know what to do about the indigestion, lately, it doesn't seem to matter what he's eating, and he's changes his diet drastically to natural/whole grains and fruits & veggies, doesn't seem to help... unless he has an allergy that we're not recognizing. Any suggestions from anyone? Ok, on to the next subject >As for reiki, I am pretty new to the subject, aside from knowing a reiki >master, >and I believe that the energy that reiki practitioners channel through >their >hands to be the very SAME healing energy that comes out of any spiritual >healer, >whether they call themselves Christians or not. Sure! I'll agree with you except to add that while it all comes from the same source, call it Jesus, Ra, Allah, God, Goddess, or whatever you relate to, there's a difference in the vibrational frequency of the energy ran. My Reiki teacher is really good at running different forms of energy so that you can feel the difference. Certainly, I am NOT SAYING that one is better or worse than any other, just different. And I can safely say that it doesn't have to do with religion, just spirituality. But if you ask me, all that energy does is (at least it's true for Reiki) aid the body in healing itself. And attunements just make it easier for you to tap into running that particular energy, but EVERYONE has access to univeral LIFE energy just from the virtue of being ALIVE! And lastly, I have a question. >Rosemary 30 gtts - Dorlen, what is gtts? I'm not familiar with the abbreviation. Thanks! Blessings and Loves to all! Aloe vera juice three times a day, plus dietary change helps with the digestive issues..... along with licorice and alfalfa. Need more? Just ask. I'm so much better (been out of it since early 1990) now I think I may even get a life back. I use Kava Kava for muscle spasms along with very hot baths with Epsom salts and EOs. If you have a good juicer, have him try a juice fast for several days and see if that doesn't help with the digestive issues.

Guest guest
On indigestion - we keep chewable papaya enzyme tablets in the house. They were helpful for my husband during chemo treatments, and we've kept them on hand ever since for the tummy.

Back when I was in High School you could still take Latin for the foreign language requirement....some folk gave me a hard time for wasting my efforts with a " dead " language.....I thought it was kinda *cool* to be reading Caesar's Commentaries.....I've forgotten a lot of it due to non practice....but it pops up everywhere... The abbreviation " gtt " refers to " guttae " .....which is Latin for " drops " ... -- Gary Bourbonais L'Hermite Aromatique
