Guest guest
Dear Tracy, As long as you have a good Lavender (not adulterated or Lavindin ) don't hesitate to use that Lavender on that burn. It may even help ease the oncoming cold. Remember, Lavender was one of the oils first studied by Rene-Maurice Gattefosse, Ph.d. in 1920. While working in his laboratory, Dr. Gattefosse had an accident that resulted in a third degree thermal burn of his hand and forearm. Intending to cool the burn, he saw that his colleague had just brought in a container from the cooler; so he plunged his arm into a vat of pure lavender oil, thinking it was water. To his surprise, the burning slowly decreased, and within a few moments stopped. Over a period of time, with the continual application of lavender oil, the burn healed completely without a trace of a scar. As for the cold, heck, I've killed colds in a couple of days using oils like Myrtle, Eucalyptus, Pine, Clove, Cinnamon, etc. Not many germs like to live in environments like these, plus I add even more water to my diet and cut out most anything that can cause an acidic condition in my stomach and liver. Heal well dear one, Lynn
Guest guest
Instead of oils, get some Aloe Vera plant and break open the leaf (more of a stalky kind of thing) and rub and squeeze that over the burn. It is not only soothing but will help to heal it faster. Robin Australia
