Guest guest
Hello William from Kent. Melanie again. I was interested when you told me you were doing a diploma course. It wouldn't be the Institute of Health & Holistic Therapies, would it? When I rung up a college last week they told me of this one. It's something I might consider for next September. Would your diploma qualify you to practice Aromatherapy? Me and depression? I've had both high and low mood swings for 15 years, but I've been a lot better the past few years, gladly. Unfortunately, and I'd be interested to hear from anyone else on this too, as I'm on medication to balance my moods, I have a bad reaction to those sort of oils, (eg. Geranium) or indeed combining uplifting ones with relaxing ones eg, Grapefruit, Lemon and Peppermint are no go areas. The ones I can use ok are Marjoram, Roman Chamomile and Bergamot, Bergamot being both refreshing and soothing. But I enjoy using the other oils on others! With a burner, I have fun though! Geranium, in this way, has a very balancing effect on me too, William. If I feel a bit at odds with myself, this helps me feel more " together " again, but I have noticed this is a bit heavy for some people. I use aromatherapy at a disabled home and elderly folks at home. Despite not been properly qualified, they are happy to have me and I love it too. What does Clary Sage smell like? I use Chamomile. Only in the past year have I had sleep probs. Yuk!! I'm more on an even keel again now, but I do wonder after you've been using something for a while if it loses its effectiveness - any ideas anyone? (before the expiry date, that is) Sorry for writing so much, hope I haven't gone on too long! Blessings to all Melanie
