Guest guest
Hi Paula, I use a few of the oils you had listed in my shampoo. I purchase baby shampoo and add oils to it...along with a bit of jojoba oil for conditioning. I have been doing this for a few years now and refuse to go back to over priced shampoos! the bonus is I have not used a hair conditioner in all this time...and instead of having to get my hair trimmed every few months...due to split ends...I get a hair trim once a year...and have had no split ends to speak of. Clary Sage is added to control any dandruff and to help minimize hair loss...some say it will help promote hair growth...but I never had that issue to begin with. It is also suppose to be good for dry hair. Besides all this I find Clary Sage makes me feel good Cypress, Peppermint, Lavender and Patchouli are all suppose to be oil regulators, good for dry or oily hair. I use Lavendar in my blend for hair care...I love the clean scent it gives. Ylang Ylang is used in the Phillipines (I believe ihave the right country) as a hair conditioner...I use it for the scent, at times...other times I use Clary Sage. Below is my current hair shampoo..I change the ingredients...some by amounts...other times, by oils, just to change...as you can see I do not have Clary Sage in this one as I have Cedarwood and Ylang Ylang added. I have medium length (just a little past my shoulders), dark brown hair...graying...color my hair every 6 wks...use a blow dryer daily...along with a curling iron...as you can see...I am not easy on my hair...BUT I get compliments all the time...at how shinny, soft, and just how beautiful my hair is. My husband loves how silky my hair feels. Basil 6 gtts Cedarwood 6 gtts Chamomile (German) 6 gtts Lavender 6 gtts Rosemary 12 gtts Geranium 6 gtts Ylang ylang 6 gtts Jojob 30 ml Water 1 oz. Baby shampoo 7 oz. Basil for luster. Cedarwood to control dandruff and seborrhea, improve the condition of the hair, stimulate the scalp and hair follicles, minimze hair loss, and promote hair growth. Chamomile to condition hair and scalp, add shine, silkiness, and luster. Lavender to regulate oil secretions and repair damaged/overprocessed hair. Rosemary to nourish the scalp, keep hair healthy and shiny, promote hair growth, normalize excessive oil secretions and improve scalp problems - dandruff and seborrhea. Geranium in this blend is for scent and as a balancer for the psyche. Jojoba oil is used to condition, add shine, managability, and keep split ends at bay. I wash my hair first and leave the shampoo in while I finish my shower, then I rinse it. Take Care! Jen in CT
