Guest guest
Dorlen, Helen, Frank and other List Friends, Thank you so much for your replies to my question. Every time I think about how helpful strangers could be I am thankful everyday for modern technology. (and of course our wonderful listowner for making this list!!) I now understand a bit about the chemistry of eo's. Now can I ask another question? I hope that was a yes.. What is a good oil to meditate with? Does anyone do this? Thanks again. I hope all the questions don't bother anyone but that is what I am here for to learn and I know that I came to the right place. Guest guest
I love sandalwood and frankincense, but I've got a couple folks that reallllly enjoy jasmine and rose. I also use spruce, juniper, pine (stuff like that) to help me ground after so that I can still enjoy the feelings and be able to function well. Guest guest
Hi Eric, Yes! I meditate each day, being a Yoga instructor for the past 7yrs it has become part of my everyday life! There are many wonderful oils to help with meditation and I have several that I use, depending on what I want to do with the meditation. Here is one that I really use a lot, especially when I want to go into deep meditation. I do not drive a vehicle after using it for a while as it is very powerful. Frankincense, Ancient oil of Frankincense slows down the breath and allows you to take in a fuller breath to help with oxgen to the brain! Sandalwood, For its wonderful claming and centering abilities it has on a racing mind! Clary Sage, it has an ability to calm and also to enhance the Dream State for me. (It is one of my favorite essential oil) it brings about a feeling of Euphoria for me. At times I add Neroli or sweet orange, for the up-lifting of my spirits! You can do the blend as follows: Frankincense 3 drops Sandalwood 5 drops Clary sage 4 drops Neroli 2 drops (or sweet orange) blend in Almond oil 1/2 oz. add to forehead, bottom of feet and palm of hands. Blessings, Dianna L. Pierce
