Guest guest
Hi Kati -- I used to have real bad menstrual cramps (pre-children, although the cramps occasionally get bad still and I'm 44), and my chiropractor suggested I try something that I think was an extract of some herbs...tasted a bit like apples...the directions to use it said to hold a dropperful under my tongue for a while (I think sublingually it gets into the system quicker). It really helped with the pain, but I had to use it again about every half hour or so. Sure beat pain pills though. I see similar mixes offered by health food stores, so you might be lucky enough to find the same mix if you check out those sources. Also, one day when I called to cancel an appointment with the chiro, they talked me into coming in anyways (it was one of those days I would have stayed home in bed if we didn't have something important going on at work). I stopped on my way home, thinking there is absolutely NOTHING this man can do for me right now, but I was really wrong. In addition to the usual adjustments, he worked a couple acupressure points at my inner ankles and right below the center of my rib cage -- helped the nausea tremendously! And this coming from a skeptic (I always felt the adjustments helped, but I never dreamed he could rid me of that pain!) I walked out of that office feeling 95% better. Eventually a medical doctor also prescribed Motrin(Ibuprofen) before it was an over the counter drug. That helped the cramps too. Have you had this checked over by a doctor? And you're sure there's not some other physical cause for the pain? (These are dumb questions, considering how you must be suffering, but you know someone will wonder why I didn't ask.) Hope atleast some of this information helps you out. I, along with how many other millions of women, can relate. Nancy M
