I think this is a good idea. I use this method for children - just get out a

few I

think they'll like, like spearmint, ylang ylang, orange, mandarin and so on, and

let

them have a sniff first.

people in my circle are also " clients " of mine for aromatherapy. This makes

them very supportive of my work. Both are convinced that the care and love

passed on by the physical touch are in themselves beneficial.>

How right you are! What other therapy gives an hour or more of hands-on

one-on-one

time?

I'm so glad you also do this, as one of the aromatherapists I asked about

this practice suggested nastily that I was simply too lazy to bother to make

an " informed selection " . Incidentally I didn't feel bad, because I know

that it's not true, but I do try to avoid prying if it is not necessary. I

work with a lot of HIV+ children at the Ethembeni (Place of Hope)

Abandanded Aids Babies Clinic.

Hello Helen & Moira

In giving the person choice and control in this area of their lives we

get to glimpse the healer in all of us. Small children go right for the

heart of the matter, while adults kind of meander over the oils as if

searching for an old friend.

Tchantz (2yrs) picked up the birch oil and touched her hips saying here.

She is being treated for medial rotation of both hips - her feet turn

in.

While her father lay on my table she kept handing me helichrysum. He

has low back injury. That day he was in severe pain.
