Guest guest
Hi Folks.... My first post to this list.... If you want to read a pretty thorough discussion of alternative medicines from the viewpoint of " some " standard medicinal practitioners.... http://www.quackwatch.com Bear in mind that this is *not* a pro-alternative medicine site..... And maybe there's some reason for its existance.....Alternative medicine practices seem to generate some of the most amazing claims....and many of the most amazing seem to be closely tied to the pursuit of monetary gain... The focus of the site is this " quack " baggage that seems to be forever surfacing, even in accepted not-so-alternative methods...... such as chiropractic, osteopathic, and herbalistic....... And they really get down on the " not-so-well-accepted " methods.... Check it out......you'll find most every alternative medicine method covered....... For the record...... I personally think they don't know zip about AT.....<G>.....! -- Gary Bourbonais L'Hermite Aromatique

Guest guest
Hello you new guys!! Robin, Gary, Moira, and Vicky who?!!! As far as traditional goes I am of Cherokee descent and am following the 'trail' of traditional information left by my ancestors. Everybody, every society on earth has used old knowledge. Just the labels are different. How I phrase what I am searching for depends on where I am looking for information. I have always been amused at what lengths the AMA will go to to protect it$elf. As always a few bad apples ruin the appearance of the whole barrel. The quack page is interesting reading and good for a laugh or too sometimes. O smiling moderator thank you for such a nice place to meet and play! Amwandi Linda PS. Vicky is addicted to beads, crystals, rocks and my library. Guest guest
I like to use peppermint and/or rosemary to stimulate my mind so I feel more awake and clear! Maybe I should go get some right now as I think I've been looking at this screen a bit too long today! Warm wishes to all, Lynn > Vicky100 > > Okay...everyone...whats a good EO for memory!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! > <running for cover!!!!!!!> > > In Light > > Vicky >

I live in an inner city apartment block, so this is a special treat for me. As we walk past the huge rosemary bush, I always break some off and sniff it and say " Rosemary stands for something, but I can't remember what .... " . My aunt always falls for it (or pretends to) and then tuts at my grin. Bless her. Moira de Swardt
