Guest guest
Hi ..... I am new to the list, but am getting a lot of use out of the ideas that come up here. I became interested in aromatherapy, after buying a bottle of lavender EO because it smelled great. I started to look at possible uses for it; my interest has grown from there. I am interested in whether anybody uses anything (EO's) to assist in pain relief .... ie using natural means rather than lots of paracetamol for example. I am interested in blends that might be good for nerve pain, as well as for muscle relaxation. Thanks Geraldine ===== Geraldine & Scott Wood (aka The_Woodies)
Guest guest
Hi, By not knowing what kind of nerve pain I'm just looking through the books and seeing the following ideas: Nerve Inflammation from Virus, Neuropathy: Lavender with juniper, oregano, thyme, geranium, peppermint, or clove. 1 - 3 drops of these single oils to your carrier oil of choice. Carpel Tunnel: Birch with cypress, peppermint, marjoram, or basil. Helichrysum with birch, lemongrass, cypress, or peppermint. 1 - 3 drops to your carrier oil. Also, some people with nerve problems sometimes have mineral deficiencies that can be addressed with your health practionier. Wishing you well, in all ways, Lynn - <LefiaHeals < > Thursday, October 21, 1999 2:59 PM Re: [aromaexchange] Pain relief > LefiaHeals > > In a message dated 10/21/99 5:51:35 PM Eastern Daylight Time, > the_woodies writes: > > << I > am interested in blends that might be good for nerve > pain, as well as for muscle relaxation. >> > Helichrysum [Everlasting] is excellent for pain relief...a very powerful > analgesic[not to be used if pregnant]. Guest guest
Hi Geraldine, More and more folks seem to be turning to ancient help for many different types of pain. Lots of different oils can be used single or blended to assist in the relief of pain. Just depends on what you need. Ask, and I'm sure lots of folks on this list will be happy to give suggestions that have worked for them. Heck, just for headaches alone there are many oils that can help ease and or eliminate them all together. It's just learning to work with the oils, finding the oils that can work best for you, etc. Lots to choose from! Oh yea, Lavender is considered an universal oil because it is antidepressive, antibacterial and the list goes on and on. Happy Inhaling!
